Scott Martin, Pastor

Hi and welcome to Oakhill Christian Church! My name is Scott and I consider it one of the greatest honors in my life to be a pastor to God’s people. If you are new to Oakhill, I look forward to meeting you and pursuing the fullness of Christ together!

My wife Kayleigh and I have been married for 9 years. We have two daughters and a son. Kayleigh is a wonderfully gifted mom and home-maker and filled with a passionate love for Jesus and His people. Together we try to lead a simple but adventurous life encouraging each other and helping our children see the glory of God and His gospel every day in some way. Our favorite things to do together usually involve a hike or a park and somehow getting our feet wet and hands muddy. It feels unavoidable at this stage so we embrace it!

In addition to being a husband, father, and pastor, I really enjoy both outdoor and indoor activities, from hunting, fishing, and hiking to playing guitar, writing, and art/creative stuff. In the past I spent several years playing sports and then coaching, so athletics is a big part of my story. Above all, my greatest passion is growing in the grace and knowledge of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and sharing Him with others!

Myron Fairman, Elder

Hi church family! My name is Myron and I’ve been privileged to have been a part of Oakhill Christian Church since my parents started coming in the mid-1970’s.  Over the years, I have been honored to serve Oakhill as treasurer, elder, member of the Provisional Leadership Board, and part of the worship team.  I’ve seen a lot of ups and downs over the years here at Oakhill but God has shown Himself strong through all of it.  I look forward to being a part of helping the body grow more and more in the knowledge and practice of the grace of God.

My wife Margaret (Peggy) and I met right here at Oakhill after returning from college and we were married in 1993.  We have three children.  We have also had several “Compassion kids” throughout our years together. I graduated from Oakhill Christian School in 1986 and then attended and graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a degree in Computer Science.  After college I began work at Seiberling Associates as a Control Systems Engineer and still work there today, going on 35 years.

Outside of work, family, and church I enjoy watching NASCAR, bowling, softball, worship music, suspense and sci-fi movies, and of course the Packers.

Steve Armstrong, Elder

Hello Oakhill Christian family! My name is Steve and I have been a part of Oakhill Christian for 52 years.  I grew up at Oakhill and graduated from Oakhill Christian School.  Over the years I have had the opportunity to serve in many different roles at both the church and school.  These include High School PE teacher and basketball coach, Oakhill Christian Church Retool committee, and Oakhill Facilities Board.  I have also previously served Oakhill as an elder, a member of 3 Pastoral Search Committees, a member of the Transitional Leadership Team for Oakhill with Converge, and a member of the Oakhill Provisional Leadership Board. I have a heart for our church family and God has given me a strong desire to see Oakhill continue to bear fruit for the Kingdom of Christ!

I have been married to my wife Susan for 27 years.  We have two daughters and a son-in-law.  All are members of Oakhill Christian. In my day job, I am a Director of Retail Operations for Panera Bread Company.

In my spare time I enjoy athletics and sports, being active outside, and I love to travel with my family!

John Boyd, Elder

Hey Oakhill church family! My name is John and my family and I have been members of Oakhill Christian Church for nearly four years. Over the past four years I have been blessed to serve in a number of leadership capacities, including the pastoral search committee and the Provisional Leadership Board. Currently I also serve as the Oakhill Kids Director and enjoy teaching with a team of wonderful brothers and sisters.

Michaela and I have been married for 11 years and have three energetic and curious young boys. Michaela faithfully serves alongside me in the Oakhill Kids Ministry organizing the kids’ lesson plans and materials. She also produces Oakhill’s weekly bulletin and the church prayer list. I feel blessed to know Jesus and to be able to serve Him here at this church, and to be able to be raising my sons surrounded by His grace and loving-kindness. As I have stepped into leadership, I have seen the Lord work in my life and He is continually challenging me, growing me, and shaping me.

As a family we enjoy movie nights, pizza, game nights, and being outside when the weather is nice—oh and we love to watch the Cubs!
